Col de la Terrace

The last Acclimatisation Weekend group ascended to the Loriaz refuge on the first day, then early the next morning to the Col de la Terrace. There is hardly any snow left on the south facing slopes, but there were a few icy patches of neve to negotiate on the north side. The group descended to the dinosaur footprint slabs, then down the Gorge de Veudale to the Emmoson dam wall. After a quick lunch stop, the group traversed the series of ladders and chains to return to the Loriaz hut for the early afternoon.
