This week has seen our Avalanche Awareness courses being run almost every day of the week. Participants have learnt how to use avalanche transceivers, assess the snowpack, and to choose a safe route on the mountain. With the heavy snowfalls that we have experienced in the last week, this seems to have increased peoples desire to make sure that their avalanche awareness skills match their aspirations, be it on skis, crampons or snowshoes.
