In this photo you can just about make out the Argentiere Glacier beneath Mini Couloir, through the heavy snows of last week. Well done to all of you on the Ice Climbing courses, for surviving the weather! Fortunately the ice was in condition in the left bank icefalls, and after a bit of digging to find the belays at the rapel / anchor points at the tops of the climbs, they were in good nick. Now that the snow has stopped falling, and we have a high pressure system (anticyclone) dominating the weather here, the ice routes are all a lot more accessible as the avalanche risk has dropped off a lot.
