It’s nearly the end of April, and we’re still snowshoeing. Here is one of our snowshoe guides in front of the Drus, in a photo taken yesterday. The Chamonix valley temperatures are in the low 20’s Β°C, yet above 2000m the snow is still good. After walking up to the Signal Forbes, where you get a great view down onto the Mer de Glace, we walked down to Chamonix, a descent of over 1300m.
