How fit for Mont Blanc?

Yesterday all our Mont Blanc course group successfully summited Mont Blanc, and so far this year we have seen record numbers on the top both in quantity and also in percentage terms of those attempting. Whilst it is tempting to say things are going good, and to rest on our laurels, here’s a mid season warning to all those on a course later in the season… you need to be very fit to attempt Mont Blanc! This year we have been very lucky with good weather and (relatively) warm temperatures, which has benefitted some people. We recommend that you are training for between a half-marathon and a full marathon in terms of fitness, to attempt this peak.
