In the Mont Blanc massif we have experienced off piste conditions in January that we don’t ususally get until February. In this photo from one of our Chamonix Off Piste clinics (http://www.icicle-mountaineering.ltd.uk/chamonix%2Boff%2Bpiste.html), they are skiing from Plan d’Aiguille directly down to Chamonix on great snow. The Pas de Chevres is also in good condition, and the 23km off piste descent of the VallΓ©e Blanche is getting better and better by the day now. Still the best route down at present is the Grand Envers variation. Other great conditions were reported on Crochues Berard, Trient, Toule Glacier, and Col du Passon. An epic season has started!
