Here is a photo from last weekends acclimatisation group on the summit of Mont Buet, guided by Lindsay. For those planning an ascent of Mont Blanc, a good acclimatisation program is essential, as there is 50% less available oxygen at that altitude. Ascending successively higher peaks stimulates the production of red blood cells, and these are essential for carrying the oxygen platelets around the body. All our IFMGA and UIMLA guiding team are highly qualified in advising about acclimatisation, and spotting the symptons of mountain sickness.
