Last week saw our first Winter Intro course of the season. Here is the group on the first day, constructing a Rutschblock to test the snow stability, before ascending further up the mountain. During the week the group spent enjoyed two days of ice climbing on icefalls in the Chamonix valley and also one day on a glacier too. The weather was cold and fairly stable throughout the week. This has led to good early season ice climbing conditions, and we have also had groups ascending Patrie and Lillaz in the Val de Cogne.
