The past few weekends have seen a series of UK based Alpine Preparation Weekends in the Lake District. Here is Peter from last weekend, focusing on his footwork on a slab of the Crinkle Crags above the Langdale valley. The weekends have been run by a good mixture of instructors, all of whom reported the clients finding it really useful to ask lots of questions about their training and what kit is best for using in the Alps. In most cases it was a case of encouraging people to travel lighter, and not to opt for heavyweight clothing layering systems, and that “light is right”!
