Americans are affectionately called ‘seppos’ in Chamonix, in a very strong French challenge to cockney rhyming slang (seppo, spectic, tank, yank), and for many visiting from the US, the Alpine ski touring scene is very new to them. Rob is recently retired from the USAF, and completed one of our Haute Route ski tours this winter, and has just had his trip report added to the Wildsnow blog. He wrote it to help open some eyes on the other side of the Atlantic, to the amazing potential of the Alpine hut to hut ski tours. Have a look, as his stunning photos are well worth a look. Cheers Rob!
