There are some great conditions on the classic Alpine routes at present. Here is Rod last week climbing on the north face of Tete Blanche. He also ascended the Gervasutti Couloir on the Tour Ronde Rochefort Arete, and the Contamine Mazeaud on Tacul during the week. Not bad for someone in their early 70’s! It puts a lot of us to shame. This week we have 5 guided teams on the classic routes around Chamonix, as well as Autonomy, Mont Blanc and Matterhorn groups. The good weather has returned, and at last the wind speeds have dropped.
