The arΓͺte from the Aiguille du Midi to access the Vallee Blanche, has now been fully equipped. Yesterday our guides reported very good conditions on the whole descent, as they skied all the way down to the valley. The feedback was that the ski out from Les Mottets (the buvette at the top of the walk up from the Mer de Glace) was much improved, with softer snow and less icy.
With the ridge equipped, and the ski out in good condition, it’s perfect timing as town is seeing a mass exodus of New Year holiday makers. Fingers crossed its going o leave the town and mountains a fair bit quieter, for us all to enjoy. Early January is always a great time in the Alps, that generally sees cooler temperatures and high pressure weather systems keeping good weather.
