Last night and today have seen larger than forecast snowfalls in Chamonix. Currently there is approximately 30cm of fresh snow in town, with more at altitude. The signpost above was photographed by a snowshoe group we had out today. The snowfall is getting lighter now, but with good weather forecast tomorrow, and obviously a high avalanche risk, take extra care when out in the mountains.
