The season for tackling the infamous Haute Route ski tour from Chamonix to Zermatt is now well underway, and we have three teams setting off this week. With the fresh snow us week the Col du Chardonnet has been impassable due to avalanche risk, so most groups are opting for the Col du Passon variation, pictured above. This route converges with the classic start on the Col du Tour before the Trient glacier.
The long range weather forecast is improving, so our teams departing later this week may well keep to Plan A! If you are on one of our Haute Route tours departing soon, you may not have realised that there is a photo gallery for each day on the website. The first day gallery is accessed by clicking here.
