Tickets went on sale yesterday, for the new Eurostar service from London St Pancras to Geneva, via Lille. This route to the Alps avoids Paris, and speeds up the journey time to 6hr 18mins. From Geneva, there are frequent airport transfers to your resort in the Alps; Chamonix, Zermatt, Verbier or Martigny.

Not only is this service far more environmentally friendly than flying, but it’s financially a better deal too, with single tickets from just £62.
