Last week was the penultimate Chamonix Snowshoeing Course of the season, and the weather was fairly kind to us. Here is a summit photo from a peak in the Swiss Valais, and other areas visited included the Italian Malatra Valley, Mont Truc, Tête d’Armancette, Aiguillette des Houches, and the Refuge de Loriaz. In the middle of the week we got lots of fresh snow, and the conditions were great. The course was guided by Kingsley, the head Icicle UIMLA guide for trekking and snowshoeing courses.
