Thanks to Michal for sending in photos from his recent winter ascent of Mount Toubkal in Morocco. This season many of our trips reported a relatively dry winter in the Atlas, as you can see from the photo above. Even so, it’s always best to assume that crampons and an ice axe will be necessary.
The ascent is relatively straight forward, though the summit is just over 4000m, and the trip will appeal to winter walkers as much as mountaineers.
